10 Low Calories Filling Snacks to Quench Your Hunger

High protein, simple to prepare and tasty

When you embark on a weight loss regimen one of the challenges is to have nutritious low-calorie snacks to prepare quickly and eat on the go.

Complicated recipes requiring precise measurement are not sustainable.

You need things you can prepare quickly in our ever increasingly hectic lives.

The best snacks are nutritious, low calorie, high in protein, easy to prepare and source.

I have placed an emphasis on simplicity and protein dense snacks in my suggested snacks listed below.

The reason being that the protein will keep you satiated the longest.

You can use these as a reference in designing your own snacks, but they serve as good examples for your meal planning.

1. hard-boiled egg is 70 calories and 6 grams of protein. It can be prepared the night before and easy to pack.

2. ½ a cup of low-fat cottage cheese has 81 calories and 14 grams of protein.

3. ½ a cup of non-fat Greek yogurt has 71 calories and 10 grams of protein.

4. ½ a cup of edamame has 120 calories and 11 grams of protein.

5. 2 thin turkey slices with cucumber slices have 60 calories and 9 grams of protein.

6. 3 oz. of water canned tuna has approximately 99 calories and 22 grams of protein.

7. 14 almonds have 98 calories and 4 grams of protein.

8. One mozzarella stick has 90 calories and 7 grams of protein.

9. One apple with cinnamon is approximately 90 calories.

10. One Bell pepper with a tablespoon of guacamole is 50 calories.

Part of any successful weight loss regimen is meal planning. Snacks are an especially important part of this.

The best snacks are nutritious, low calorie, high in protein, easy to prepare and source.

If you are busy at work, it is easy to hit up the vending machine. This can trigger hunger cravings and restart unhealthy habits.

This is why it’s important to come prepared. Have your snacks ready to go when you are hungry.

Preparation combined with discipline will give you a heads up for successful weight loss.
