We get asked this question all the time. Many of our patients feel they just cannot have only OPTIFAST® for the active weight loss phase. We can tell you from experience YOU can DO IT!!

The first couple of days are challenging but once you get through it with support from us, your body will adapt and you will be on your way to a healthy weight.

The first few days to a week are challenging as your body is used to having significant calories from sugar and carbohydrates. Once you get through this you will be breaking this cycle.

In addition, by just having OPTIFAST® during the active weight loss phase you simplify your food choices. This will ensure you lose weight while we teach and counsel you on healthy eating habits and give you the tools to make them. By twelve weeks, your dependency on unhealthy foods would have ended and you will be ready to start reintroducing healthy foods back into your diet along with OPTIFAST® for some meals.
